Hans Schreier is a professor at the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability at The University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. His research interests include the following:

Watershed analysis (system dynamics, simulation modeling) Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Land/Water interactions (land use and its impact on water resources)
Non-point source pollution and cumulative effects Water and soil quality and pollution (excess nutrients, trace metals, sediments) Geomorphological and pedological processes Land degradation processes and rehabilitation	Terraces in Nepal
